There were only six passengers on our longtail trip down the Kok River. Nadia, from Italy, had just obtained a Masters Degree in Art History. We saw many European travelers like her who had finished studies and not yet started careers. Our boatman had 22 years of experience on this river, and steered us with extraordinary skill through shoals, rocks and swift currents.
